From the Principal's Desk 4/10/23

Greetings Ellington Community,


I hope all is well with you and happy Easter to those of you who celebrate.

Thank you to everyone who helped make the PARCC Pep Rally a success last

week for our 9th and 10th graders. The PARCC testing window for DESA will

be from April 25 to May 26 from 9:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. Please note that

some students will begin testing on April 11 to April 14th (*Students testing

earlier have already been notified and made aware).


In preparation for the PARCC Exam, all 9th and 10th-grade students will need

to turn in their Surface Go devices between Thursday, April 13, and Friday,

April 14. Please see the flyer below for additional details and instructions.


We have a busy week ahead of us once students return to school on Tuesday! First, we have Animal Farm the stage play on April 12, 13, 14, and 15. We hope you can join us to watch the Theatre Department's theatrical adaptation of the classic novel. The Visual Arts Student Exhibition opens on April 14, giving the community an opportunity to view the outstanding works of our underclassmen. Then we have Jazz City on April 28, which will be a performance and celebration in honor of Duke Ellington's 124th Birthday! Flyers with more details on each of these events are provided below.
