Greetings Ellington Community!

I trust your week was productive and enjoyable. This school week was filled with an enriching blend of learning and artistic growth. Students delved into their academics, eager to learn, while also exploring their creative sides through artistic endeavors. As we transition into National Native American Heritage Month, it's essential to pause and reflect on the history and invaluable contributions of Native Americans.

This week, our students enthusiastically took part in Spirit Week, a celebration marked by a series of exciting themed days. The week started with Dynamic Duos, where students put their heads together to come up with a perfect duo. Halloween brought a thrilling air of spookiness and festivity, as our school was filled with an array of whimsical characters and costumes. The festivities continued with Barbenheimer Day, a day to honor two of the biggest movies of the summer. Finally, the week was brought to a cozy close with Pajama Day, where students spent the day in their comfiest attire.

To crown the week's festivities, our Homecoming Dance provided the perfect grand finale. Students came together to dance, celebrate, and create lasting memories, making it a truly unforgettable week of fun, togetherness, and school spirit. Congratulations to our Homecoming Court Winners! You are the embodiment of Duke Ellington's school pride and spirit. Your selection as the Homecoming Court signifies your exceptional character and contributions to our school. Furthermore, we want to extend our gratitude to all the dedicated staff and faculty members who played an essential role in the planning, execution, set-up, and chaperoning of the dance. Your tireless efforts, commitment, and support ensured the success of this memorable event, and we couldn't have done it without you.
