From the Principal's Desk: 10/23/2023

Greetings Ellington Community!

I hope your week was filled with joy! Both academically and artistically, we had a great and eventful week at Duke. As we move forward throughout the month, we look forward to more exciting endeavors, more academic achievements, and more artistic opportunities.

We want to take a moment to thank everyone who attended the Parent-Teacher Conference on October 19. Parent-Teacher Conference was a great opportunity for parents to discuss individualized strategies to support their students' growth and development. Your active involvement in your child's education is deeply appreciated, and it contributes to their success. Thank you to our Academic and Arts Teachers and Department Chairs for their dedication and commitment to educating and nurturing our students.

Furthermore, we want to congratulate our theater department for their "March For The Arts" performance on Saturday, October 21. Their dedication, talent, and hard work was on display! We also want to extend out gratitude to all those that attended the event in support of our theater department.

In addition, we will be sending representatives from our school to attend the Arts School Network event next week. This is an exciting opportunity to showcase the exceptional talent and education we provide at Duke, and we look forward to sharing our experiences with others in the arts education community.

Please remember PSAT's will be taking place next week, October 24 through October 26. To find out which day your grade will be taking the test, please refer to the schedule below.
