Biography

NIKKI SUTTON-MACKEY: A 1992 graduate of Duke Ellington School of the Arts, trained at the University of the Arts Philadelphia and the Alvin Ailey American Dance Center. As a trained professional dancer, she is a former member of Philadanco II and Ailey II Dance Companies, as well as working with Disney. Introduced to the world of fitness in 1998 has allowed her to intertwine her innate passion for movement and the body. She started teaching young children at the age of 15 and has played a part in training young dancers in the Philly and DC areas. Currently Mrs. Sutton-Mackey teaches dance and P.E. at the Duke Ellington Arts High School as well as many private dance studios around the D.C. metro area to include Dance Dimensions, Paula Brown Performing Arts Center and First Class. Some of which have competed her works and won high awards. She has also had the opportunity to produce many choreographic works performed on the Millennium Center stage housed at The Kennedy Center. Mrs. Sutton-Mackey enjoys promoting fit and healthy lifestyles to all ages through dance and fitness!​
