TECHNICAL PRODUCTION & DESIGN

Course List & Sequencing

Through a culturally relevant learning experience that is both practical and theoretical, students will hone the skills necessary to become artistic leaders in design, production and management. Technical Design and Production artists will graduate with the ability to creatively process and solve challenges related to the demands of the entertainment industry with the highest degree of professionalism and integrity.

YEAR 1

First year students are introduced to all of our core concentrations and spend 18 weeks in:

The Freshman Courses are designed to build camaraderie, develop team building skills, and introduce students to stagehand work.

Students are required to declare a major at the end of their first year. 

YEAR 2

Students are disbursed in their majors and are required to take an OSHA-10 Hour Certification course. The following courses are taken during the second year throughout our concentrations:
