The School Home Association of Duke Ellington (SHADE) supports the educational and artistic mission of the students, faculty and administration of Washington, DC’s Duke Ellington School of the Arts. It serves as a communication, action and advocacy organization that unifies the DESA community to address issues of importance to the school and cultivate productive scholar-artists. SHADE is an all-volunteer organization led by Ellington family and community members.
