Jazz City 4/25/24 7:30PM @ Kennedy Center



On April 25, Duke Ellington School of the Arts held its annual Jazz City Concert, celebrating Duke Ellington's 125th birthday, at the Kennedy Center. Thank you to Reginald Cyntje, Director of Jazz City, Taylor Young, Director of the Mellow Tones, Clifton Williams, DESA alum and featured guest, Edward and April Ellington, the Jazz Combo, the Mellow Tones, and the Jazz Orchestra for a wonderful show! Congratulations to our Daryl Libow Social Justice Awardees, Mayor Muriel Bowser, Chairman Phil Mendelson, and Councilmember Brooke Pinto, to our Davey S. Yarborough Excellence in Jazz Award - Jodie Kaberia and Most Improved Jazz Student - Emma Brennan. Pictures coming soon!
