DESA Alums in Action: Meshell Ndegeocello & Renee Elizabeth Wilson


We are proud of DESA alum Meshell Ndegeocello. She was recently interviewed for the Washington Post in For Meshell Ndegeocello, blurring musical lines has provided a clear path. In the article, she discusses her new album, ‘The Omnichord Real Book,’ coalesces the sounds the singer has tinkered with over her 30-year career.


Congratulations to DESA alum Renee Elizabeth Wilson for her upcoming role in the world premiere of the play Monumental Travesties! Her resume includes work at Theater J, Round House Theatre, Woolly Mammoth and Studio Theatre. Now, she’s at Mosaic Theater in the world premiere of “Monumental Travesties,” a play inspired by Capitol Hill’s long-contested Emancipation Memorial.
