Dave Chappelle Presents A Benefit for the Duke Ellington School of the Arts

We're excited to share that Ellington alum Dave Chappelle will headline a benefit show later this month, continuing the celebration of Duke Ellington School of the Arts' 50 years of artistic excellence and raising funds to support The Donal Leace Endowment for the Theater Department — the program Chappelle trained in as a student under the late Donal Leace, who chaired the department, taught theater history, public speaking and the Harlem Renaissance, and mentored many students including Chappelle and opera singer Denyce Graves. The endowment supports theater instruction, productions, and performance opportunities for the next generation of creative artists.
