Greetings Ellington Community,
I wanted to take a minute to thank you all for attending the Dance Department's Senior Showcase on Friday. We hope you enjoyed the incredible performances by the dancers, who choreographed their pieces, and the stunning sound, costume, and lighting design by the Technical Design and Production Class of 2023. This was a 100% student ran production, and we couldn't be prouder of them!
March 22 is SAT Day for Juniors! We sent out a letter last week with details but please see the SAT section immediately below this letter for important reminders. Here are some resources for students to help prepare for the exam: SAT Student Guide, SAT Study Guide Resources, and Khan Academy.
On March 20, the GSA is hosting a Mini-Desk series with Carly Harvey, DC’s Queen of the Blues at 10:00 a.m. in the Performance Hall. This event is for students, faculty, and staff only (*not mandatory, and RSVP is required). We're grateful
to the Mayor's Office of LGBTQ+ Affairs for their generous grant and ongoing support for our school's GSA.
The Instrumental Department Solo String Recital is on March 24 at 7:00 p.m. in the Theatre. Come out and support our talented String students!
I got chills at NPR when I watched several of our Vocal Music Concert Choir students perform alongside Bono and The Edge for U2's Tiny Desk performance. I'm pleased to announce that the official video is finally out and it appears the rest
of the world feels the same. Click here to watch their full performance.
(In-Person) GUMSHOE TUTORING (Math and Science)
Due to the Spring Break of our tutors from Georgetown University, we will not resume in-person tutoring until March
